Escape to Me

by Diane Alberts

In Escape to Me, both of my main characters are seeking to find a guiltless night of pleasure, free from anyone they know or could know. Thomas is a healing widow, and Eleanor is an unwilling spinster, and both are from the same time period.

Thomas looks to have a dalliance without having the tons censorious eyes on him the whole time. And Eleanor might be a spinster, but she isn’t dead of all desire to be held. Loved.

When they both go two hundred years into the future, they think they found the perfect solution to their dilemma. Little did they know…Madame had a different idea.

Though Eleanor recognizes Thomas right away—she’s been in love with him all of her years in the ton—Thomas doesn’t recognize her. He does want her, though. More so than he thought possible.

Will these two be able to turn a one night stand time travel adventure into something more tangible, or will Thomas never find out that the girl of his dreams was just a few houses away?

Writing these two characters was a lot of fun, and I adored being able to throw two people from the nineteenth century into a hotel room filled with modern gadgets and short skirts.  Escape to Me is available online now, and I’d love for you to get to know my characters a little bit better.

About the author:
Diane Alberts has always been a dreamer with a vivid imagination, but it wasn’t until 2011 that she put her pen where her brain was, and became a published author.  Since receiving her first contract offer, she has yet to stop writing. Though she lives in the mountains, she really wishes she was surrounded by a hot, sunny beach with crystal clear water. She lives in Northeast Pennsylvania with her four kids, a husband, and a Senegal parrot. In the rare moments when she’s not writing, she can usually be found hunched over one knitting project or another.
She is a multi-published, bestselling author with Entangled Publishing and Decadent Publishing. She has, as of this date, three books with Entangled Publishing, and five books with Decadent Publishing.

  1. If done right (and Diane Alberts does) making gadgets we take for granted become objects of wonder and depending on the time the transplanted come from, maybe even magic!

  2. Thanks for the awesome post. I love the futuristic cities that are often created and how the characters react to them.

  3. This sounds like a good story. I have read a few TV stories by Karen Marie Moning and Donna Grant. I have enjoyed them even though I read a lot of paranormal books I found it hard to believe in TV but vamps and shifters where believeable. lol. I decided to look at it as a romance story and not over think it.
