Back when Unknown Futures released, I did a guest post on Kaye Manro’s blog about a morning with Jewel. Find it here. Today I thought I’d share a morning in the life of Flavia (or V) who lives on a space station.

6:30 am – Drags her but out of bed and hops into the shower stall where a quick blast of cold water forces her eyes open and leaves her longing for a warm shower back on Earth.
6:45 am – Is dressed and slinking down the stairs. If they weren’t winding, she’d ride the railing down to save energy.
6:50 am – Enjoys a cup of coffee, the one item from Earth that is of endless supply on the space station.
7:00 am – Rushes to the tubes (transportation system) to get to her Ancient Space History class.
7:32 am – Arrives to class late, but manages to hide behind a Pillite who is also late. Takes her seat without drawing the attention of the professor, a Ginnunian.
10:00 am – Finally leaves class with a couple hours worth of homework due the next week, and a craving for more coffee.
10:30 am – Reports for work with a caffeine buzz, ready to guide whatever guest of the space station’s hotel needs her around the place.
11:00 am – It’s a slow morning, and she only has to escort a Phantie to his room. But he makes a pass at her, inviting her inside. Thank goodness, she knows how to deal with her co-worker, Gar, and easily gives this guy the slip.
11:30 am – Receives a call from the Director’s office, asking her to escort special guests arriving at the space service who are coming from Earth. The Director asks if she would mind the one woman staying with her since her suite is furnished to accommodate beings from Earth. Flavia quickly replies with a definite yes.
12:00 pm – Flavia is anxious for the Earth guests to arrive. And yet, she longs to return home even more.

Attacked as a young adult, Jewel is left scarred and alone. She applies to the 1 Night Stand service, believing no one can see past her appearance to love her. But she doesn’t expect to be sent to a space station where her date could be any number of unusual alien species.

Flavia left everything behind to be one of five humans working for the Space Service space station. Extremely homesick, she is excited to learn she will be a guide to a woman from Earth visiting the station for a couple days. She is immediately drawn to the petite woman, seeing past her scars to her true inner beauty, stirring unforeseen desires.

Unfortunately, Jewel is there for a date which Flavia hasn’t been told about. Can she contain her lust and simply show her a good time? Or will she let her desire lead them into an unknown future?

    1. Thanks, JM! Go ahead and use the idea. It's a lot of fun to think about what the characters are doing. Both of the ones I did occurred right before the story started. :)

    1. LOL I'd be fine without coffee, but there are other things I would miss a lot. Just hope the space food and beverages had some taste.
