Flakiness

By Erykah Wyck

Sometimes as writers we flake out. We get so entranced by the words in our head that we can’t seem to remember the day to day things we are supposed to do like, blogs, dishes, paying the bills. I am not saying all authors are like this, hell I hope I am not the only one.  But honestly if not for the wet nose poking me sometimes at my computer desk, I might never get up. Thank goodness for the dog.

So I flaked on this blog, AGAIN.  But now I am curious who else has flaked on something while they are writing. And what did you flake on?

Tell us and we’ll pick one random commenter to win any Erykah Wyck book from her back list!

  1. I flake on so much when I am in school. Homework takes so much of my time that other than the necessities everything gets pushed aside. Who cares about dusting when you have a 30 page term paper to write?

  2. Okay, so I never used to flake on anything. But lately, even when I write things down, I sometimes forget. Seems the more time I have, the more there is to do. LOL Can never catch up.

  3. If I didn't write myself notes and leave them stuck to the bathroom mirror, my purse, or car steering wheel... well, you get the picture! Hubby just laughs at all my notes! suz2(at)cox(dot)net

  4. I never heard that expression before!! Another to add to my list. Like Susan - I need lists to function. Oh BTW - in the UK - if I said I flaked out - I'd have collapsed.
