Gavin speaks....

Strawberry Kisses available HERE

Thank you for coming to chat with us today. Why do you think Dominique chose  you to represent her today?  I think she is knee deep trying to work on another 1NS novel and needed someone to cover for her. I was happy to help.

Tell us a little about yourself? I am just a boring accountant, who was lucky enough to find (thanks to Madame Eve) my true love.

What’s your favorite music? I love Jazz I can think of nothing better than a weekend at the New Orleans Jazz festival.

Will we be seeing more of you or are you stepping out of the lime light? Luckily I think my story has been told but I hear Dominique is working on a possible epilogue to my story with Mia.

What do you do to relax? Lay on the sofa listening to music with a drink and Mia in my arms.

Tell us about Mia, what drew you to her? Mia is one of those women that just makes me go weak in the knees. She has curves that go on for days and she is comfortable with who she is. What’s not to love.

What’s your biggest turn on? Mia dressed, half dressed, naked… MIA.

What your favorite ice cream flavor, chocolate, vanilla, or strawberry? I have a great fondness for anything strawberry.

Why should the readers be interested in your story? It’s a story about finding the person you were meant to be with.

Are they ready to gamble on a 1Night Stand?

Mia hides behind her computer, designing popular computer games. And though she knows just what to do to keep men coming back for more on the other end of the modem, she doesn’t seem to have the same knack in person.

Gavin hides behind numbers. Since his wife left him, the only thing he cares about is his son and his job. One failed relationship was enough, but if the right curvaceous woman came into the picture he just might manipulate the numbers a bit.

Can two meddling sisters enlist Madame Eve to bring Mia and Gavin together and show them two is always better than one?

Dominique Eastwick grew up a US Navy Brat, so if there was a Naval base that was probably home. She currently resides in North Carolina with her husband, two children, crazy lab and lazy cat.
Dominique's love of reading started when she was told to read TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD in high school. It’s the book that opened her eyes to the joys of reading and entering into the world of the author. To this day she ranks this book as her favorite.
When not writing you can find Dominique behind the lens of her camera, doing her second love.

Chatting with Strawberry Kiss's GAVIN

Buy Strawberry Kisses HERE

 by Dominique Eastwick

Thank you Gavin for taken a minute and coming to chat with us.
Tell us a little about yourself? I am a boring accountant, divorcee with a teenage son.

What music do you listen too? I love Jazz

What is your perfect evening? Hmm that would be hard. I evening at a ball game with my son is always perfect but an evening with a certain lady now that’s divine.

Is there anything you wish Dominique Eastwick had kept their mouth shut about? Well she did go into quite some detail but then it was a hot night with Mia. I am just happy she didn’t talk about the following nights. That might have gotten us arrested.

Do you feel you were portrayed fairly? Yes

Tell us about Mia what drew you to her? Mia is everything I have ever wanted in a woman, she is considerate and confident. She has curves where women should have curves. Within seconds I knew she was the one I had been waiting for.

What do you do to relax? I sit back listen to Jazz sip on some bourbon and curl up with Mia.

What’s your favorite sports team? L.A. Lakers

What about the Man on the cover is that a fair representation of you? At the time of this story, yes I had been working out a lot in preparation for my 1NS date.

What’s you biggest turn ons? Do you really have to ask? MIA!

What is your biggest fear? That I will wake up and Mia will have just been a fantasy.

Strawberry Kisses.

What Sexy Is

by Dominique Eastwick

Anyone who has read a Regency novel knows that nothing was sexier to a man then for a lady to show the slightest bit of ankle. Seems preposterous now thinking about how a woman on a beach wears next to nothing, but throughout history what is considered tantalizing has changed drastically.

In ancient Egypt, clothing was often scant or thin. With the heat and the sun, clothing was minimal and many, especially the upper classes, would shave their heads. Woman would use kohl around their eyes to help keep the bugs away. But what was really sexy at that time was for a woman to paint her lips red. It was intended to make men think of the vagina. Puts a new spin on lipstick, now doesn’t it?

Then in the Middle ages it was sexy to have a high forehead and women would shave their hair almost half way up their head. Who would have though a receding hairline would be sexy on a woman?

Now today what is sexy? Is it tight hiphuggers, skimpy miniskirts, Or is it more than that? I think what is sexy is and always will be what is forbidden. Perhaps like beauty sexy is in the eye of the beholder the question is how far are we willing to take it?
Love to hear what you think sexy is…

Finding your inspiration… getting your Muse on

By Dominique Eastwick

For months I have been battling with a bad case of Writers Block though to be honest it was more of writer doldrums.  Had the ideas but didn’t have the motivation to write them down. It had been an emotional Fall, professionally full of ups and downs and I think I was still recovering from that. I had stretched myself very thin and was to be honest at my breaking point.
Then a friend called and said where do you want to go, pick a place anywhere in Europe. Really? I though, sure, okay how about Ireland? Well two months later, with my bags packed, my camera charged and ready, I was off to the Emerald Island.

As far as vacation goes I didn’t do a lot of resting, in fact I was up earlier then I would have been at home. And it was my spring break from my real job so I would have been taking it easy. Instead I was walking 15 miles or more a day. I was hoofing it over the city and country side and I was loving every minute of it. For the first time in months, maybe years, I was pretty much unplugged. With the exception of a quick blog I did daily for my family and friend to catch up.  And I suddenly couldn’t wait to write again. Ideas started flowing like melting spring stream.

So here is my advice to those authors suffering abit of writers block/fatigue. WALK AWAY. You don’t have to do to the extreme of Ireland like I did but I do recommend a few days of unplugged and complete relaxation to recoup. Even if the relaxation is not sleeping. My Other advice visit Ireland and the Giants Causeway. Visit this land full of wonderful people, amazing storytellers and rich history. But I warn you, this place knows how to make some potatoes.
Now to see if Madame Eve can work her magic on the Emerald isle in this story that is locked in my head. We shall see.

 ***

Wow I can’t believe release day is here already. When they told me the date was August 19th,  it seemed so very far away. Boom! Not only is the end of summer here, but we’re at release day!!!!!

I made a New Years resolution that this year I would publish more then one work and thanks to Valerie, Kate and Decadent Publishing I actually can cross a resolution off my list. And I didn’t cheat to do it.  WOOT.

I wrote this in the spring at the height of strawberry season when the berries are big, juicy and ripe. Is it any wonder that it got me thinking about writing about them?  I love strawberries and love to go picking in the spring with my family. As a child we used to grow strawberries and it was so nice to just go out and eat what you wanted, as much as you wanted, off the vine. I, unfortunately, do not have my father’s green thumb.

My favorite is Strawberry shortcake with real short cake, no sponge cake in our house.

Homemade shortcake recipe

3 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 cup milk
Blend salt, flour, baking powder and sugar together. Add milk in slowly and combine until moistened. On a greased cookie sheet, drop spoonfuls of dough.

Bake at 450 degrees for 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool. Slice through the middle of each shortcake. Top bottom half with sliced strawberries and add whip cream. Place top half of shortcake on the cool whip and strawberries. Repeat
J

Super easy, super simple and super delicious.

Somehow, at that time of the year, strawberries just seemed to be the theme of the book. It started as an image of my Gavin and Mia sharing a strawberry and grew, with a bit of help from Madame Eve, to a story I hope readers will enjoy.

Happy Reading and share with me your favorite strawberry recipe. I would love to hear about it!
