TONIGHT YOU BELONG TO ME
Danny O’Malley’s screwed. After he and the love of his life, Jillian, moved to Las Vegas hoping to find their big break in show business, she’d tossed him out, thinking he’d cheated. Now he’s in deep with a loan shark to pay for a 1Night Stand—a date he believes is his last chance to win her heart again.
Jillian Jones wants to see Sin City —in her rearview mirror. Agreeing to a blind 1Night Stand date on her last night in Las Vegas as a favor to a friend, she discovers her match is Danny. When he plays their song, Tonight You Belong to Me, she melts. But when two thugs break in demanding money, she finds she might go out with a bang in an unexpected way. Can she save him, and their relationship?
Question: If you could have someone sing you a love song, what would that song be and why?
**CONGRATULATIONS TO ANNE R.
SHE HAS WON THE COPY BEFORE SHE COULD BUY IT!!**
Tonight You Belong to Me promises to be a fantastic read with a great setting and a pair of star crossed lovers with loan sharks snapping around them has to be an unique and tension filled plot. As to the question, that's not a easy one. I love many songs and yep, Danny has picked a top favorite. Congrats on the release, Cate!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great read. My song is an old one: "I just called to say I love you." by Stevie Wonder.
ReplyDeleteEither "Come Sail Away" by Styx (I know it's not a love song, but it has special meaning), or "I Can't Help Falling In Love With You" by Elvis Presley.
ReplyDeleteAll the best with your release, Cate! :)
This sounds like a good book. I will be looking into this series. I am liking what I am hearing.
ReplyDeleteAs for the love song, I am very fortunate that I married a man who loves to sing. He is always singing to me. Sometimes it is a love song, sometimes it is more of a lust song. :). But I have to say one song that has special meaning is the ABBA song , " Knowing Me, Knowing You". That is the first song we sang together as a kareoke. It was also the last song, as he realized this hard of hearing girl can't sing to save her life. But it started our 14 year marriage. Not too shabby!

The song I would pick is Follow You, Follow Me from Genesis. It is the first song on our wedding video and I have always loved it.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a great book too. Thanks for pointing me to it.

I would love to have good morning beautiful. My husband made me a CD when we first started dating and that was the first song on it. I still love it.

I want Jake Owen to sing me a song. He is sexy, has gorgeous eyes, and has a beautiful voice. He can sing me anything. Or I would choose Tim Mcgraw to sing me a song. He can also sing me anything.

ReplyDeleteactually when i was dating my husband (now my ex) he wrote me a song. he then came over late on 2/13 and asked me to go for a ride with him down to the river, his family owned some property their and we spent alot of time on it with them fishing and other fun things. we got there around midnight and all of the stars were shining and he sang me my song and we dance under the stars.
ReplyDeleteit was one of the most romantic moments in my life and although we are not together anymore i still have the song framed and on my wall.

I'd say I want him to sing "our" song - When You Say Nothing At All by Ronan Keating, one of the love themes of the movie Notting Hill :)
ReplyDeleteTime after time - I like the idea of someone catching me every time I fall!
ReplyDeleteThanks guys! My hubby used to sing me Elvis' song, I Can't Help Falling in Love with You. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a romantic :)
ReplyDeleteSince I edited your book, I'll just throw in a comment to join the fun! My husband sang Just the Way You Are by Billy Joel to me when we were dating. It became our song. We had the title engraved on the inside of our wedding bands. And he had our best man queue the song on a cassette tape (wow, how old am I??) so that when we got in the car after our wedding, Just the Way You are started to play. It was the first song we heard in our marriage. My husband isn't Mr. Romance, so that was extra special to me knowing he put thought into it!
ReplyDeleteI had no idea your adorable (and he is cute ladies!) husband had such a sentimental heart, Val. I like him even more now! Mine used every bit of romance he had when we met online, to keep me from clicking him away, and I'm so glad he did.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kate and Valerie! That's such a cool story, Val.
ReplyDeleteThanks again to everyone who stopped by! Loved all your answers.
ReplyDeleteAnd the winner is...
Anne R! Congrats, Anne! I'll email you your ebook today.
Ok, I'll chime in.
ReplyDeleteHusband stood on the seat of his Mustang in a hotel parking lot and sang me 'SHAMELESS' by Garth Brooks. It was freakin' romantic. lol
That's very romantic. I could see him doing it, too!
