Every Woman is Curious about a Bad Boy

by Angelita Gill
In some paranormal romance novels I’ve read recently, demons were categorized as merciless, unredeemable, and just plain evil. Well, in the world I wrote for ADemon’s Lure, there is an exception to the rule. And my hero Davien is one of them. Though he’s no angel, there isn’t an evil bone in his hard muscled body. But, he does encourage some sin in life, and for that he will not apologize. To indulge, to spoil, to encourage selfish dreams. Isn’t that what all reputed bad boys do?

Kara is Davien’s immortal enemy, professionally anyway. Her job is to track down demons and send them back to the underworld where they come from. Over the years, her instincts doubt every demon in existence deserves such a fate. While their notoriety revolves around menacing behavior and arrogant plots of obtaining universal power, there are whispers about some who prefer to enhance the life of others. Curiosity has a way of building on itself until it won’t accept anything less than the truth.

They say curiosity kills the cat, but in this story, it could kill the stereotype.

We’ve all known a bad boy or two in our lives, or at least seen them from afar. Whether he was the loner with intense eyes in high school, the indifferent but wild brother of a close friend, or the reckless neighbor with the cool scar on his arm, it’s not too hard to spot them. Okay, so those are the bad boys that have run across my path. I always knew they were too much for me to handle, but that didn’t stop a fantasy or two creeping into my ever-active imagination.

I took attributes of all the rebels I’ve met and Davien was created: a little jaded with a lot of masculinity, a wicked smile, and dark lover who loves to show off. He was deliciously fun to write about.

So tell me, what’s so appealing about bad boys if you know they can be nothing but trouble? Everyone who leaves a comment will be entered to win a free copy of A Demon’s Lure. Be sure to include your email address.

I love to hear from other 1NS readers!

  1. Bad boys are exciting! They're the sort of guys we want to imagine ourselves with but mostly don't end up with. They offer a chance to walk on the wild side, to be someone different for a while when you're with them. Totally unreliable and unsuitable but irresistible.

  2. Bad boys are so appealing because they're wild, adventurous, intense, unexpected, and we always want to be the one who tames them. But we don't really want them tamed!

  5. I always like the bad boys who give off a dangerous sent. He stands silent and tall with his arms cross and a fierce look with squinted eyes and a tightly closed mouth. He'll ask a question and stare at you until he gets the answer he wants. I love bad boys, lol. The Demons Lure sounds great, thanks for the giveaway!

  8. I think it's because they have a certain magnetism. Good girls aren't supposed to like bad boys. They're nothing but trouble, but also sooooo much fun. A bad boy will have you doing things you'd never thought about doing. They also have a raw sexuality that oozes from them. Plus there's always the chance of being the one that can "tame" the bad boy.
I'd love to read The Demons Lure it sounds so great.
