Decorations Galore

by Emily Cale
Holy moley! It's hard to believe that it is actually November. You know what that means, right? The holiday season is upon us.

The minute Halloween ends, the rest of them come barreling straight for us. Next up is Thanksgiving (in the US, at least), followed by Christmas, then New Years. If you keep going, Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day aren't too far away either.

I know because I grew up in one of those homes. Oh, you know the ones I'm talking about. My family decorated the whole house for every single one of those. The minute one holiday was over, you had to spend the day hauling the old decorations to the basement and the new ones up. When I say holidays, I'm not just talking about the big ones either. We have stuff for Easter, 4th of July, and back-to-school that have to be taken out and put away each year.

Though, we no longer includes me. I do tend to have to help make the switch in the days right after Christmas, but otherwise I live too far away to assist. My own house tends to be a little light on decorations. Not because we don't own them (my mother's has made sure we do), but because hauling them out of the closet often seems like too much work. I did manage to get our small Christmas tree out last year, but since we aren't actually the week of Christmas, it often feels like a major hassle for few rewards.

How about you? Is your house overflowing with joy or are you more of the silent appreciation type?

Power Play by Emily Cale

Natalie Fritz didn't need a night of sexual adventure as payment for setting her friend up, but she wouldn't turn it down either. Determined to make sure she gets exactly what she wants, she makes a call to Madame Eve and requests not one, but two dates for the evening. What she doesn't expect is for those men to be players on her friend's hockey team.

Ian and Todd find that sharing women provides all parties with more pleasure. Finding someone who buys into their theory is a little harder. So they turn to Madame Eve's 1 Night Stand service to find them a partner. When they meet Natalie, they discover a gorgeous woman who turns them on physically and intellectually.

Everyone knows that relationships are meant to be between two people, but what happens when it takes three to make the night worthwhile? Can they take a leap of faith or will their time be limited to one night?

  1. WOW! That sounds like my house. I used to be one to have something for every holiday. Now I have become more of the quietly decorated. Just a few cleverly placed decorations. Not the big box-o-stuff. Makes things much easier.

    1. I think that's how I'll end up in the next several years. Just enough things to make sure you know what season it is, but not enough to make it work.

  2. I grew up in a house with the basic decorations for Christmas but didn't do anything for the other holidays. That's how my husband and I are today. I love see houses decked out to the nines at Christmas but I don't want to do it myself! LOL!

    1. I know what you mean. I would love to have the whole place covered in beautiful decorations, but I'd have to hire someone because I'd never do it myself.

  3. We don't really do anything in the UK for any holiday but Christmas. We have a little bit of Halloween decorations creeping in but not much. But I love decorating for Christmas. The more stuff out the better!
