How to Find Love in Just 24 hours in Mumbai

By Eva Lefoy
Mumbai is the most crowded city in India and the fourth most populous in the world. With 20.5 million people, how does anybody find the perfect person to love? If any city cries out for Mademe Eve’s services, it is this one!

Mademe Eve used her special brand of magic in Lover Enslaved, setting up Thomas – an American businessman – and Arjun – an Indian male prostitute – at the Castillo Mumbai Tower Hotel. Neither of them were expecting love from this one night stand, but both experienced a life-changing evening.

Arjun sells his body night after night for money, sometimes to violent men. His pimp, Ranjeet, is not a nice guy to work for either. By the time he receives a note from Mademe Eve he’s nearly given up his quest to find love. Not that he expects it to last forever. He’d be happy with just one night. Little does he know his date won’t settle for leaving him behind.

Thomas is an American businessman holed up in Mumbai for the night. He’s seeking the comfort of a male body and a way to forget the past, but he doesn’t expect to find an Indian prostitute who steals his heart with his lilting voice and his easy manner. A man he wants to rescue from his sordid life with every fiber of his being.

When Madame Eve makes a match, she does it well. Thomas is just the man Arjun needs to take care of him, and Arjun is exactly the kind of man Thomas feels driven to protect. Together the two men work out a agreement, but not without some bargaining and some rather horrid interruptions from Ranjeet:

Arjun turned his gaze toward the floor. “I wanted to stay, but it would have only delayed the pain.”
“Of leaving?” Arjun shrugged, his silent acquiescence even more disheartening than his words. Thomas took a step closer. He wanted to touch Arjun, damn it. He wanted to pull him into his arms and convince him to allow him to spirit him away. “What if I told you there could be no pain?”
Arjun’s head came up. “This is my life, Thomas. There is nothing else for me. I told you that.”
“I said I’d find a way for us to be together and I meant it.” He closed the distance between them, so close he could feel Arjun’s little puffs of breath on his chin. God, they felt so sweet. “Do you trust me, Arjun?”
Arjun stared right into his eyes. “Yes, but—” His gaze veered away for a split second and widened in fear.
Thomas knew who stood behind him even before the safety clicked off on the 9mm pressed to his temple. Behind him, he heard the hotel guard struggle and another click. “There you are, Ranjeet. I was wondering if you’d ever get here.”
“What are you doing here, gorey saalah?” Ranjeet spit the last two words out like an insult.
Thomas supposed they were. He’d heard enough insults in enough languages to recognize the tone when he heard it, even if he had no idea what they meant. “I’m visiting Arjun.”
“Get out of here. Now. And take that pissant hotel guard with you.”
He stood straighter. At his full height, he towered over Ranjeet. “Or what?”
Ranjeet’s mouth formed an awful smile. He moved the pistol away from Thomas’ head. “Or I shoot Arjun.”

The road to love, even with Mademe Eve’s help is not always easy, but it is worth it! Luckily both Arjun and Thomas recognize the value of the chance they’ve been given and get on the love train with one-way tickets!

Lover Enslaved: 24 Hours in Mumbai releases January 31st – just three weeks away!
