The Carnivore Club Vegas is Now Open!

A few years ago I happened upon—fictionally speaking—a little club in a small town where everyone with the slightest interest in kink could get together and socialize. Located in a strip mall just off the highway, the Carnivore Club’s décor was less than fabulous, with red booths salvaged from a defunct restaurant and a disco ball casting a few sparkles of light on the postage-stamp dance floor. But the friendship was warm, the possibilities of meeting someone special real, and judgment non-existent.
And that was where Barry met Lily, a gorgeous half-Japanese, half-Italian young woman new to the lifestyle with her eye on a Dom twice her size with a thousand times her experience. They had one amazing afternoon together then something went wrong.
Lily has disappeared without a trace and taken Barry’s heart with her. But mourning cannot last forever.

Blurb:
For Barry, the opportunity to help build the newest Las Vegas resort, the BDSM focused Carnivore Club offers the chance to put aside two years of longing for the sub who ran away. In the glittering city in the desert, he could make a new start and a new life. The gift of a 1Night Stand from his mysterious partner in the endeavor
Lily’s fears drove her away from the man of her dreams. In fact, she ran all the way home to learn her mother had been diagnosed with cancer and needed her help. After two years of caring for her mother, they lost the fight and Lily was cast adrift to once again pick of the threads of her life. Terrified she’d flee the instant things got too intense, Lily asks Madame Eve to help her set up a date with a Dom. If she can handle one night with a stranger, maybe she can return to Barry and beg him to take her back.

Excerpt:
Lily slipped the silver bangle into her pocket—she wouldn’t wear it until she’d confirmed her readiness to be his—and stared in the mirror. Three years older than the last time she’d seen him, with faint shadows under her eyes from bouts of crying. With the funeral the week before, her responsibilities to her mother were over. She’d never again need her help to dress or shampoo her wigs, to take her meds, a ride to the hospital for chemo….
Cancer was a bitch way to die.
The day after her mother’s passing, she’d filled out the online application for a date through the 1Night Stand service. Expecting it to take weeks, maybe months, to fill her very specific request, she’d been shocked at the immediate response.
She’d contacted Madame Eve, begged to change the date of her one-night stand with a Dom, but the e-mail reply had stated that the arrangements would be difficult to change. If she cancelled, it would likely be a long time before another date of this type could be scheduled. And this was to be the test. She planned to return to home, to the original Carnivore Club and beg Barry to take her back…. She didn’t expect him to agree, but she had to try
If…and this was a big if…she could survive a single night with a Dom without feeling the urge to run. So many emotions had opened during the one afternoon and night she’d spent with Barry, she hadn’t been able to deal with the outpouring. She’d had no idea what she’d taken on and, beset with hysterics after he left, she’d fled. Home. To her mother, like all grownups do.
It hadn’t taken long to realize her mistake, but her mother’s diagnosis of leukemia suddenly made her presence a necessity. There had been ups and down, but at last the disease had its slow, painful way with her mother, stripping her of flesh and spirit before it stripped her of life. Despite a sometimes contentious relationship over the years, Lily and her mother had fought the battle together. And lost.
Lily was free again. Free to pursue the man who had haunted her dreams for four long years. If he had time for a scared bunny of a sub who’d left without a word and hadn’t had the courage to contact him since.
But if she could survive this one night—put herself at the feet of a strange Dom and do his bidding, be his to do with as he pleased for one night—she felt sure she could fling herself at Barry’s feet. Sub, slave…pet. She’d done a lot of research in four lonely years and while she did not see herself in a role other than submissive to his Dominant, she’d agree to anything to be his.

Christmas in Castle, Alaska

Once upon a time there was a beautiful lodge in the wilds of Alaska. You cannot drive there; there aren’t any highways that reach so far into the wilderness. You can take a boat, in the warm weather, or a bush plane anytime, and the residents of the nearby town, Castle. The town is either named after Castle Lodge or Castle Lodge is named after the town, nobody knows for sure. But what they do know is that it’s worth the effort to get there for the amazing holiday celebrations I hope you’ll take the chance to stop by and visit with the residents of this amazing place and share their wintery wonderland.

Because we have excellent news! You can now get there by train! And at this time of year the journey is all about Christmas! The dining car serves a feast of holiday favorites, turkey, ham, prime rib, and Yorkshire pudding! The conductor will bring eggnog and cookies to your seat and lead you in carols.
By the time you arrive at the Lodge, you will be ready for the Christmas Eve ball. Rumor has it that Madame Eve herself has been there…but you know how rumors can be. For now, Lauren, Jorell, and Zachary await your reading pleasure as they share how Madame Eve, 1Night Stand, and the magic of Castle Alaska intervened to bring joy to three lonely people in a single night that turned out to be much more than they could have ever expected

However you celebrate the holidays, I wish you love, kindness, abundance and above all magic.

Lauren is in trouble. Only the adoption agency lady knows the heartbreaking decision she’s making. But every baby deserves a father and Lauren’s ex isn’t stepping up to the plate. Without a dad for her child, Lauren doesn’t feel she can give her baby what he or she deserves. When her mother sends her to the Castillo resort in Castle, Alaska to help with a holiday celebration, Lauren jumps at the chance to forget her worries.
Jorell’s career is soaring. In charge of development for the Castillo Resorts Caribbean region, the only thing on his mind is pursuing a vice presidency. Not romance. But a forced transfer to the frozen north throws him—and his prospects off-kilter.
Zachary lives near Castle, Alaska, but the fishing guide has had little success finding a social life and fears his interest in both men and women may be too wild for the wilderness.
Two men and one pregnant woman…in charge of the holiday activities at the Christmas Extravaganza at Castle Lodge. Friendship and intense attraction blooms between them. But Madame Eve has her work cut out for her…will Jorell and Zach provide enough reasons for Lauren to change her mind?

Excerpt:
   Lauren,
Your aunt and uncle love you very much and, as a special Christmas gift, they allowed me to arrange a unique evening for you. Your date will meet you at the large cabin behind the lodge, for a night you will never forget.
   Madame Eve
Perfect. Might as well get it over with—although it would have been simpler to give the guy the slip in the coffee shop or another public area. Kathryn and Nick met through Madame Eve and shared a world-class romance, even now that they were married and parents. Sweet looks, private jokes, stolen kisses…everything any girl could want. She stuffed the paper into her bodice with a sigh.
But she’d already set her course and, if it weren’t for her previous poor judgment and the fact that she’d already fallen hard for two men who had eyes only for each other, it could indeed be a night to remember. Instead, she cut through the gleaming kitchen, smiling at the late night staffers, and out the back door. A light beamed from the front window of the cabin where, according to Andie, she’d spent her first night with her true loves. For just a second an image flashed through her mind—of Jorell and Zach, their nude white and mocha bodies in a four-poster bed, arms outstretched to her in invitation.
But the single tear froze on her cheek along with her dreams as she plodded up the path to the cabin and lifted her hand to the door.
It jerked open, and she gasped. Christmas music poured out on a gust of warm, pine-scented air. A tall spruce decked for the holidays glittered in a corner. Low laughter from somewhere near the flickering flames of the fireplace did not come from the auburn-bearded man who greeted her in the open doorway. It came from Jorell.
And Zach’s hand was the one that tugged her inside, when her feet became one with the doorstep. Lauren’s heart thudded so loud in her ears, it drowned out the Carol of the Bells. Her hopes rose to the high rafters then crashed down when she realized….
“I’m so sorry to interrupt your evening. I must be at the wrong cabin.” And she’d be going back to her room after that, date be darned.

Kate Richards Bio:
Kate Richards divides her time between Los Angeles and the High Sierras. She would gladly spend all her days in the mountains, but she’d miss the beach…and her very supportive husband’s commute would be three hundred miles. Wherever she is, she loves to explore all different kinds of relationships in her stories. She doesn’t believe one-size-fits-all, and whether her characters live BDSM, ménage, GLBT or any other kind of lifestyle, it’s the love, the joy I one another, that counts.
