I had written One Night With A Wolf and I was very pleased with how it had turned out. Truth is, I love writing in worlds not created by me. Oh, don’t get me wrong, I love writing in worlds I create too. World Building is one of my favorite things. But seeing if I can fit my story into someone else’s parameters, for some reason it’s a challenge I love to do.
When the idea came to do a follow up story, Rebirth, using the sister I had written into One Night With A Wolf, I jumped at the idea.
Who could she be and how could it be similar to One Night With A Wolf without being One Night With A Wolf again?

Well…werewolves would have to be out. But it still needed to be Paranormal. So, being me, I immediately thought of vampires. And Gus was born.
My editor called Gus tragic and I love that description. I wanted him to be the kind of vampire I remember reading years ago. I used to call them the lamenting vampires. You know the kind. Oh woe is me, how can I go
through the night without you by my side, my love? I haven’t seen a good, hot lamenter in a long time.
What kind of old-fashioned heroes did you like when you first read romance? Who did you read? What do you miss?
