Strawberry Kisses for You and Me

 Strawberry Kisses by Dominique Eastwick

Are they ready to gamble on a 1Night Stand?

Mia hides behind her computer, designing popular computer games. And though she knows just what to do to keep men coming back for more on the other end of the modem, she doesn’t seem to have the same knack in person.

Gavin hides behind numbers. Since his wife left him, the only thing he cares about is his son and his job. One failed relationship was enough, but if the right curvaceous woman came into the picture he just might manipulate the numbers a bit.

Can two meddling sisters enlist Madame Eve to bring Mia and Gavin together and show them two is always better than one?

Wow I can’t believe release day is here already. When they told me the date was August 19th,  it seemed so very far away. Boom! Not only is the end of summer here, but we’re at release day!!!!!

I made a New Years resolution that this year I would publish more then one work and thanks to Valerie, Kate and Decadent Publishing I actually can cross a resolution off my list. And I didn’t cheat to do it.  WOOT.

I wrote this in the spring at the height of strawberry season when the berries are big, juicy and ripe. Is it any wonder that it got me thinking about writing about them?  I love strawberries and love to go picking in the spring with my family. As a child we used to grow strawberries and it was so nice to just go out and eat what you wanted, as much as you wanted, off the vine. I, unfortunately, do not have my father’s green thumb.

My favorite is Strawberry shortcake with real short cake, no sponge cake in our house.

Homemade shortcake recipe

3 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 cup milk
Blend salt, flour, baking powder and sugar together. Add milk in slowly and combine until moistened. On a greased cookie sheet, drop spoonfuls of dough.

Bake at 450 degrees for 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool. Slice through the middle of each shortcake. Top bottom half with sliced strawberries and add whip cream. Place top half of shortcake on the cool whip and strawberries. Repeat
J

Super easy, super simple and super delicious.

Somehow, at that time of the year, strawberries just seemed to be the theme of the book. It started as an image of my Gavin and Mia sharing a strawberry and grew, with a bit of help from Madame Eve, to a story I hope readers will enjoy.

Happy Reading and share with me your favorite strawberry recipe. I would love to hear about it!

  5. I love home made strawberry ice cream. We have a hand-crank ice cream maker (you burn off calories making the IC so you don't feel so guilty when you eat it, LOL) and we make delicious strawberry IC when the berries are ripe here in NC. We have the best strawberries around here! I make about 50 pints of homemade jam each spring, too. The whole fam goes picking.
