Fun Facts About Jessica E. Subject’s 1Night Stand Characters

Hello everyone, I’m super excited to say that as of July 1st, I will have been published for three years. Yes, on May 1, 2011, I received my first contract. It was for Celestial Seduction, a 1Night Stand story I wrote for the new (at the time) line at Decadent Publishing. After that, I was addicted. I’ve wrote several more 1NS stories since then, as well as stories for other lines at Decadent. Anyway, I thought it might be interesting for you to catch a glimpse into the lives of the heroes and heroines from my first two 1Night Stand stories, Celestial Seduction and Beneath the Starry Sky.

Take it away, Carrie and Tamara!

Carrie: [with a tub of Ben & Jerry’s Magic Brownies ice cream on her lap] Jessica asked us to show up here today and wanted Tamara and I to tell you five facts about us, Frey and Josh that you wouldn’t know after reading Celestial Seduction and Beneath the Starry Sky.
Tamara: Yeah, your story was published first even though I had my 1 Night Stand almost a year earlier. But I’m not exactly sure I want everyone to know what happened between Josh and I.
Carrie: And you think it was easy for me to see my night in print? You’re the one who tells me every position you’ve had sex in.
Tamara: [shoving a spoonful of ice cream in Carrie’s mouth] I guess the first thing you should know is that Carrie and I met seven years ago at a medical conference.
Carrie: We were just beginning our careers back then.
Tamara: Anyway, after dinner one night, I saw Carrie sitting at a table all by her lonesome while everyone else mingled. She looked lonely and I felt sorry for her. I sat beside her, we began talking, and we’ve been best friends ever since.
Carrie: [teary-eyed] We’ve been through so much together.
Tamara: [squeezing Carrie’s hand] And we’re about to go through so much more together, too, but this time it’s all good. Now, let’s move on with the next fact.
Carrie: [wiping her tears away] Okay. I’m an only child and I’ve always wanted a big family. I thought that dream had been crushed until I met Frey.
Tamara: Care, I’m surprised you said that without crying.
Carrie: [looks away]
Tamara: Okay, on to the next fact. I came from a large family; the middle of five kids. I know there are larger families, but I’m glad my parents didn’t have any more. Things were hectic enough. Growing up, I swore I would never have kids, but after meeting Josh, I’m actually considering it.
Carrie: You are?
Tamara: Yes, now are you going to stop crying long enough to state the next fact or do you want to give me that card with Frey’s fact?
Carrie: I’ll say it. I’m sorry, I’m just so emotional lately. Anyway, Frey wanted everyone to know that Ginnunians don’t swim. There’s very little water on the planet, that they use it for drinking and growing food only. They developed some type of gel which they use to clean themselves instead of water.
Tamara: Really? Has he ever gone swimming here?
Carrie: [shaking her head] He’s stood in a pool but refuses to go under the water. Plus, the water messes with his image somehow.
Tamara: Oh. And on to the last fact. Josh didn’t want me to tell anyone, but he used to be an underwear model before he started acting.
Carrie: [almost choking on a mouthful of ice cream] You’re joking, right?
Tamara: [grinning] Nope. I’ve got pictures... And with that, we should get going. I promised Frey I’d have Carrie home in time for her afternoon nap. By the looks of it though, she may fall asleep in my car. Later!

Celestial Seduction
A 1Night Stand story

By Jessica E. Subject

Erotic Sci-Fi Romance
ISBN: 978-1613330944

At the end of his obligated commitment to the Space Service, Frey Berger decides to stay on Earth to further experience human emotions rather than return to Ginnun where his intended has already mated with another. Looking for real love and someone to accept him for what he is, Frey enlists in Madame Evangeline’s popular dating service. Although he does not understand the concept of a one-night stand, he hopes to find his perfect mate.
Carrie Cooper’s husband divorced her for someone who could provide him with children, leaving her with little self-confidence and no desire to let a man hurt her again. Her best friend convinces her to join a dating service, claiming Carrie needs to get laid, while not winding up with a broken heart since her date requires no commitment after the night is over.
Although several misunderstandings nearly derail them before the date has even begun, Carrie and Frey end up becoming closer than they ever believed possible. Still, Frey will need to convince Carrie that her perfect mate isn’t human at all, and that one night can lead to a forever love.
