Sometimes Love Needs a Little Help

Two people who meet, begin a courtship, fall in love, decide to spend their lives together, and live happily ever after makes a lovely real life story, but in fiction it’s kind of…well, yawn. We want our characters to earn their happily ever after, not have it handed to them. Sometimes, though, the person who is their perfect match is the last person they would seek out or naturally run across without third party intervention. Enter, of course, Madame Evangeline’s 1Night Stand matchmaking service.

Caroline and Javier have written off their teenage love as a regret from the past not to be revisited. Caroline is preparing to settle for marriage to a man she doesn’t love when her mother intervenes, sending her on a 1Night Stand to see what she’s missing in her life. Suddenly, the love of her past is the only love she can imagine in her future. Thank goodness for meddling mothers and matchmakers!

When her society matron mother presents Caroline with a one-night stand date a week before her wedding, she’s appalled. Even worse, the encounter will take place at the fantasy ranch resort operated by her high school lover, Javier Alvarado. Although determined to remain faithful to her fiancĂ©, she’s tempted and intrigued to see her first love again. It’s not like she has to sleep with him.

But one look and kiss later, she yearns for the man she walked away from so long ago. Unfortunately, when Javier discovers Caroline is engaged, all he can see is deception and heartbreak all over again.

Can a 1Night Stand from Madame Eve reunite them, or will one night with the bride sever their ties forever?

  1. I don't have an unusual bride story, unless moving the wedding date up to irritate my parents counts, lol. And it was moved up an entire eight months. Yeah. Six weeks to put together a wedding was an interesting sight to behold!

  2. The only thing I have is on my wedding day, my fiance, now husband, had all of the clothes I needed for the wedding. We were going to meet at the church after I got my hair done. Needless to say, he was over an hour late because he locked himself out of the house. I was so panicked.

  4. Sounds like an interesting story. I don't have any weird or unusual bride stories. My wedding went off without any hitches.

  5. I wore the same dress for both of my weddings. It had removable sleeves and I changed the veil to a flower wreath. now I am single, hmmmm do you think that it's bad luck to wear the same dress 2x? or was it just bad taste in relationships? LOL!
