Two Dads and Bunny

Available HERE
Lauren is in trouble. Only the adoption agency lady knows the heartbreaking decision she’s making. But every baby deserves a father and Lauren’s ex isn’t stepping up to the plate. Without a dad for her child, Lauren doesn’t feel she can give her baby what he or she deserves. When her mother sends her to the Castillo Lodge in Castle, Alaska to help with a holiday celebration, Lauren jumps at the chance to forget her worries.

Jorell’s career is soaring. In charge of development for the Castillo Resorts Caribbean region, the only thing on his mind is pursuing a vice presidency. Not romance. But a forced transfer to the frozen north throws him—and his prospects off-kilter.

Zachary lives near Castle, Alaska, but the fishing guide has had little success finding a social life and fears his interest in both men and women may be too wild for the wilderness.

Two men and one pregnant woman…in charge of the holiday activities at the Christmas Extravaganza in Castle, Alaska. Friendship and intense attraction blooms between them. But Madame Eve has her work cut out for her…will Jorell and Zach provide enough reasons for Lauren to change her mind?

*Rides out on a dog sled pulled by hell hounds. Shucks off parka and tosses it to the side*

Good morning 1Night Standers. Today a I have a special guest, Zach, from Two Dads for Christmas. Zach is from somewhere up north, very cold. *snaps fingers and sled and dogs vanish* But we’re going to try real hard to make him feel warm and cozy here. *Leans forward and stares at tall lumberjack-looking man* So, you feeling cozy, Zach? I could light a fire if you’d like. I’m real good at that.

I ummm….

No?

Nods toward seat. Go ahead, sit in my hot-seat. It’ll keep you warm. Don’t be shy. I don’t bite—much.
So, Zach, I understand you’re a fishing guide. What is that all about? I’ve never heard anyone being a fishing guide.

My dad and I run the company, and Mom handles the website. Tourists come mostly the lower 48 to catch—

Do you bait their hooks?

Sometimes, if they need us to.

Um, just out of curiosity, what kind of bait do you use, to attract the er, the fish? Any tips for a girl who’d like to reel a few more—fish—in?

Well what kind of fish were  you interested in? There’s an old guy down the road, does nothing but tie flies all year, never even heads into town, we pay him in supplies and…are you really interested in fishing? Why are you looking at me like that? I think I need to go.

The human kind. Never mind. I have the best bait right here. So, a real outdoor’s man. I’m sure there are a lot of questions from our audience about what it is you do and all, but I have a few that I’ve been dying to know for a couple hundred years, at least. *Blinks* Don’t look at me like that. I’ll have you know I look much younger than my actually nine thousand, er, eight. Back to what everyone is dying to know.

Question number one: If a tree falls in the forest and nobody is around, does it still make a sound?

What do I look like? A lumberjack?

*scowls* Well. You do have that whole Paul Bunion thing going on there. Sheesh, if you don’t want the attention, dress normal. You have heard of Metro Sexual, haven’t you?

*Uncomfortable silence*

What? Do I have two heads or something? It wasn’t a hard question and you don’t have to skirt around the issue like a politician. I know there are people out there that want to know. Fine. Whatever. We’ll move on to question number two now. K?

Does a bear, well, does it...never mind. Of course it does. They’ll eat you up given the opportunity.

*More uncomfortable silence*

Oh, you thought I was going to ask you if it, you know, left little bear muffins in the woods. I already know that, silly. Where else is he going to go—to the outhouse? Not unless he’s looking for takeout. I hear those honey houses make great snack shacks. *Looks out on silent audience* Oh please, like you haven’t noticed on the television that it’s a little more rustic up north.

Speaking of which, one of your dates had a little issue with the rustic side of Alaska. Can you tell the audience a little bit about that?

Oh, the J-man. He wasn’t all that thrilled to come up here at first. But born and raised in the Caribbean, can you blame him? Even when it’s shirt-sleeve weather he’s still pretty bundled up, but Lauren and I have our ways to help him warm up.

Is it true with the endless winter nights in Alaska, you got a very extensive 1Night Stand? Is that why you chose to have it up there?

None of us actually chose the date, it was a gift from a bunch of nosy—thank heavens they were nosy!—friends and relatives.

Well, at least someone was thinking. I’m sure others have thought of booking a 1Night Stand where the night doesn’t end. I mean it really is brilliant if you’re looking to get the most bang for your buck.

I think we are still more or less on our 1Night Stand, although Lauren says we can’t technically call it that after the one night ended, but I haven’t seen any signs of things slowing down. I suppose once she gets a little bigger we’ll have to be careful. Did you know we’re having a baby?

Baby? Alrighty, we’re going to move on to the part of the interview I call quickies. You like Quickies, don’t you, Zach?

Male or female?

Yes.

A little birdie told me you might try to avoid the question. We’ll try again, shall we? Snips and snails or sugar and spice?

If Rex and Paul’s Andie is baking it, anything will be good.

*Growls* Live or artificial bait?

Flies

Flannel or silk?

Flannel

Good to know. Have you ever had a little demon tail?

(Zach attempts to look around her) Do you really have a tail? I thought that was just part of the fairy tale.

Fairy tale? Do I look like a fairy tale? I have a pitchfork too, you want to see it you mouthy.... *Blinks and looks over shoulder* Sorry, slipped. I really am trying to behave after some succubus threatened to turn me into the queen. Just ignore that last bit, K?

So, thanks to Zach for sitting in my hot-seat today. You might as well enjoy it, cause I hear you freeze your butt off up there in the Great North. Of course, if you are ever looking for something a little warmer, call me. I’ll hook you right up.

*Smiles*

Visit us next month on the third Wednesday, when I put another victim—um, guest, through the paces.

To find out about Zach’s special date, visit (Click on magic button here to be transported to Alaska) to get the tell all exclusive.

*Snaps fingers and dogs and sled reappear* Want to take a ride, Zach? Climb on; I’ll give you a lift back to Alaska. You don’t mind if we make a couple stops along the way? I have some errands to run. Shouldn’t take too long. *Smiles wickedly*

I think I’ll walk. Might be faster. Besides, my mother warned me....

What? Your mother told you to never take rides from strangers? Do I look like a stranger? I’m not a stranger. *Looks back* Did someone rat me out to the queen?

Later. *Waves and vanishes in a puff of smoke*

Two Dads for Christmas Blog – Or Why I Write a Holiday Ménage Every Year

Available HERE

By Kate Richards

Four years ago, I sat down to write my first holiday story. It was to be sweet, because heaven knows all stories surrounding this magical time of year must be suitable for everyone in the family to read.
Unfortunately, the silly, sexy characters in my stories do not cooperate and my first Christmas story was also my second BDSM story.

The next summer, I asked to participate in a Decadent Publishing holiday anthology. The invitation came down from on high. I had three weeks to write a ménage...my first ménage story ever, and with a holiday theme. Once my breathing slowed, I began to consider everything it takes for three people to come together in a meaningful way. They each need to meet needs in one another that nobody else can. They need to help one another grow, become the best of themselves and, since this was to be an erotic romance, they have to float one another’s boats. Float…boats…Catalina Island! Where I spent any number of New Year’s Eves with a group of my best girlfriends, engaging in scandalous behavior. Well, scandalous for me, anyway! Let’s just say there were many cocktails involved and lots of laughter. So, Avalon for Christmas set me on the path of the holiday ménage.
Then last year, Two Men and a Virgin continued the tradition. Andie and her two best friends, Rex, the forest ranger, and Paul, the fire fighter discovered that in Castle, Alaska, at Christmas, just about anything is possible with love. And of course, a little help from the magical Madame Eve and 1Night Stand.
This year, we meet some new friends who also fall under the spell of Castle at Christmastime.

So, to answer the question, why do I write ménage stories at the holidays? Because sometimes there’s just too much love for only two people. Sometimes it takes at least three to express it all. I hope you’ll enjoy my story and let me know what you think.
Whatever holidays you celebrate at this wondrous time of year, may they be joyous, may your families be happy and healthy, and may all your wishes and dreams come true.

Two Dads for Christmas

Two men and one pregnant woman…in charge of the holiday activities at the Christmas Extravaganza in Castle, Alaska. Friendship and intense attraction blooms between them. But Madame Eve has her work cut out for her…will Jorell and Zach provide enough reasons for Lauren to change her mind?

****

Lauren,
Your aunt and uncle love you very much and, as a special Christmas gift, they’ve allowed me to arrange a unique evening for you. Your date will meet you at the large cabin behind the lodge, for a night you will never forget.
Madame Eve

Perfect. Might as well get it over with—although it would have been simpler to give the guy the slip in the coffee shop or another public area. Kathryn and Nick met through Madame Eve and shared a world-class romance, even now that they were married and parents. Sweet looks, private jokes, stolen kisses…everything any girl could want. She stuffed the paper into her bodice with a sigh.
But she’d already set her course and, if it weren’t for her previous poor judgment and the fact that she’d already fallen hard for two men who had eyes only for each other, it could indeed be a night to remember. Instead, she cut through the gleaming kitchen, smiling at the late night staffers, and out the back door. A light beamed from the front window of the cabin where, according to Andie, she’d spent her first night with her true loves. For just a second an image flashed through her mind—of Jorell and Zach, their nude white and mocha bodies in a four-poster bed, arms outstretched to her in invitation.
But the single tear froze on her cheek along with her dreams as she plodded up the path to the cabin and lifted her hand to the door.
It jerked open, and she gasped. Christmas music poured out on a gust of warm, pine-scented air. A tall spruce decked for the holidays glittered in a corner. Low laughter from somewhere near the flickering flames of the fireplace did not come from the auburn-bearded man who greeted her in the open doorway. It came from Jorell.
And Zach’s hand was the one that tugged her inside, when her feet became one with the doorstep. Lauren’s heart thudded so loud in her ears, it drowned out the Carol of the Bells. Her hopes rose to the high rafters then crashed down when she realized….
“I’m so sorry to interrupt your evening. I must be at the wrong cabin.” And she’d be going back to her room after that, date be darned.

Author Bio:

Kate Richards divides her time between Los Angeles and the High Sierras. She would gladly spend all her days in the mountains, but she’d miss the beach…and her very supportive husband’s commute would be three hundred miles. Wherever she is, she loves to explore all different kinds of relationships in her stories. She doesn’t believe one-size-fits-all, and whether her characters live BDSM, ménage, GLBT or any other kind of lifestyle, it’s the love, the joy I one another, that counts.

What Makes a Hero Sexy

Buy Two Men HERE!

By Kate Richards
Two Men is my first foray into writing M/M and gave me the opportunity to further develop two characters I fell in love with when writing Two Men and a Virgin.  That story, a ménage between Rex, Paul, and their childhood sweetie, Andie, garnered me reader requests for how the two fellows got together in the first place.
I knew…but I was delighted to share. As were the men involved.
Rex, a forest ranger in the High Sierras, an area where I spend quite a bit of my time, protects the trees and animals from hazards both natural and manmade. He rides a horse along trails he helped to make and ensures that hikers and campers, fishermen and hunters are able to enjoy the tall trees and sparkling streams…the amazing hidden lakes, will be there for future generations. He’s protective of those he loves, handsome and strong. Sometimes too serious. Paul can make him laugh and lighten up.
Paul is a firefighter, tall, blond and funny. Also handsome, natch. But he has a heart as big as the outdoors his friend protects and sometimes has a hard time coping with the tragedies he encounters at work. He hides his deep feelings behind his humor, only able to let his guard down with his closest friends. Rex, in particular.

These, to me, are heroic men in work, thought and deed. I fell in love with them, and I hope you will tell me if you agree. Please leave a comment and I will select one person to win a copy of TwoMen.

Bunny Goes Underground!

 Good Morning,

My name is Bunny and I’m your host today on the 1Night Stand blog. Once a month I find a poor sap, I mean victim, I mean interviewee, to sit in my hot seat. Today I have Doctor Lukas Gerard from down under.

No wait. Don’t go throwing your shrimp on the barbie just yet. Dr Gerard is all about going deep—into the earth that is. One wonders why a perfectly good specimen such as Dr. Gerard, feels the need to crawl around in the dark and dirt, but then again, there is much to say about dirty boys—they need showers, and lots of them.

Welcome Dr Gerard. *Glances down at his boots*

Hi Bunny, Thanks for inviting me to your…parlor?

Don’t mention it. You can come visit any time.
Let’s get on with the chat, shall we?

What size boots do you wear? I must say those are rather impressive. I have a thing for big—shoes. So, do tell. Is there any correlation between the size of a man’s.... Oh stop looking at me that way. I’m not the only one thinking it. Look out there in the audience. That blonde over there is waiting with baited breath for the anwser. So big boy, is there?

Size 14…and there is no scientific proof to back up your implication. But I will say I’ve never had any complaints.

Buy Virgin Under Ground HERE
Virgin Under Ground? Mmmm. Was your date your first, you know, virgin? How’d that go for you? If you’re looking for a woman with a tad bit more experience that is familiar with magma, I might be able to hook you up with a really cute single demon.

I’ll have to take a rain check. Jane might object. Does she have any prepping skills? There’s always room for someone who can can whole chickens and make eggs last up to a year without refrigeration.

Ugh. Can? I think not. Does this manicure in any way reflect that I do manual labor?

*Sighs* You don’t know what you’re passing on, but you can forget food preservation if you want to set me up with one of your nerdy buddies. Now, I do have some serious skills with shopping, and could get you some good deals on whatever your little heart desires. Just a teeny, tiny contract involved, and a little signing in blood. It doesn’t hurt much, I promise.

So I understand you like rocks. I hear you have a gold mine? Any diamonds or gemstones? I once had this boyfriend, he bought me a diamond cuff, and all kinds of jewels. Let me tell you, I milked that relationship for all it was worth. After a while, he got too clingy and wanted to give me a diamond ring. When I told him I just didn’t see a future with him, he wanted all of it back. So I shoved him in a lava pool.
Well then he probably dissolved quickly. Especially if it was Hawaiian lava which is much hotter. Now if it was from somewhere like Mt. St. Helens it would be about 200 degrees Celsius cooler, but  that’s still close to 2,000 degrees.  So it doesn’t matter, you killed him.

No, not the Islands. Daddy has this lake in hell. Have you heard of it? It’s quite the tourist attraction. We get quite a few lawyers and telemarketers, and a couple of ladies from the DMV. It’s a hot spot. You should check it out sometime. Very exclusive resort.

As for the ex.... *Shrugs* No big loss. We just weren’t meant to be. I just can’t stand it when a man starts talking commitment. Like I want to see him walking around my house for the next twenty years in his undershorts and sock, scratching his ass and belching. Jewels are much more agreeable, don’t you think? The saying is true; diamonds are a girl’s best friend. We’re real buds and nothing gets between me and my jewels. Men come and go, but diamonds are forever. I know where my priorities lie. I have a thing for men with big rocks. *Eyes Dr. Gerard.*

But enough about me. What hobbies do you have, besides digging in the earth? Anything apocalyptic? End of days? I am so into the whole end of days thingie. Really I am. It’s just so...me. I once dated one of the four horsemen. Do you know them?

I…what? Horsemen? There are quite a few horse owners in the Reno area, but I spend most of my time either on campus  or at my bunker. I mean at home. Of course at home…working on my inventions. My latest would probably have interested your late boyfriend. A flame resistant suit that will protect the wearer in very high temperatures. It hasn’t been tested in a lava lake yet, but if you are dating anyone now he might want to volunteer to beta test it.

Oh, you have a sense of humor, I like that. Let’s move onto the next question, shall we?
Have you ever stood under a garden hose and washed the dust from your naked torso?
I happen to have brought one with me today, if you’d like to give it a whirl.

What? I don’t think I’m dusty just now…why are you unbuttoning my shirt?

Oh come on. It’ll be fun. *Twists and pulls green hose from shopping bag.* I got it on clearance last spring, but it’s still in working order.

No?

Okay. *Bites lip* You’re sure?
Fine. We’ll talk about your date. My bad. Back on topic then.

Tell me about the questionnaire you completed for your little date. What attributes were you looking for in your one night stand? Do you like horns? A little tail?

Never complain about a girl who looks good walking away.

I look good coming too, if you get my drift. Ah, yeah. Back to our chat. You’re a scholarly one, aren’t you? Let’s see what was her name again...? Lucy? Was she everything you thought she’d be?

Jane. And then some

Hmm. Well, beggars can’t be choosers, now can they?

I think you’re twisting my words.

That’s what demons do, dear. If you dance with the devil...you’ll get ridden hard and put away wet, or something like that. At least in Bunny’s world, that’s the way it goes. Okay, let’s get to the quickies. You like quickies, yes?

About the speed your ex dissolved?

Pretty close, try to stay with me, okay?
Brains or beauty?

A beautiful woman with brains since  you’ve asked.

Lips or eyes?

Doing what?

Oh good one. I’ll talk to you later about this. Stick around after the show.

Top or bottom?

Yes

I like you. A lot. Do you have any stalkers?

I don’t think so…but we young, brainy professors do attract the occasional pretty co-ed.

Want one? A stalker, not a pretty young co-ed.

You? Maybe…you do look pretty hot sitting there. I’ll see if my lady would like to spice up our love life. Although it’s pretty steamy with just the two of us…wouldn’t want me to combust would you?

Are you suggesting...? *Blinks* Why you wicked little devil. I’ll take that as a yes. I’m a certified stalker, but the chick has to go.  I work alone. Like I said, stick around after the interview.

Well that about wraps up our time. Thanks for stopping by today. Don’t mind the GPS I tossed in your Jeep. It’s there for scientific purposes only.  Research. For my dissertation. *raises hand* I swear on it. I’m studying the...geo thermal properties of, um, this mountain in Nevada. I hear it gets hotter the deeper you go, and I like hot. Very hot.

*Eyes flash*

Just how deep do you go, Dr. Gerard?

Wouldn’t you like to know, Bunny.

Just so we’re on the same page here, I have ways of finding out, so don’t tease a girl. K? You really, really don’t want to tease me.

Okay, the guy at the camera is making some obnoxious motion that I have to go. Be sure to come back in February to see who gets to sit in my “special chair.”

To find out more about Dr. Gerard’s and his date, check out this tell all exclusive, Virgin Underground. Kate’s Website or Decadent Publishing.com

Ciao,

Bunny.

Virgin…Under Ground

Buy Virgin Under Ground HERE
By Kate Richards

If I had to pick my favorite place in the world that’s not a beach, it would be of Northern Nevada. Until my husband began dragging…I mean escorting me to the ghost towns and gold havens, abandoned silver mines and his meccas of Goldfield, Tonopah and of course lovely Virginia City, I generally just drove through on the way to Tahoe or maybe Reno. But the small towns with their historic buildings and friendly denizens are absolutely the best.

When I wrote Virgin Under Ground, I pictured an abandoned mine tucked in a hillside way out in the middle of nowhere. We have driven past it a few times and always speculated on what was mined there. Likely silver or gold, but wouldn’t it make an awesome hideaway for someone like…say…a prepper! Especially one with a little extra money to make it homey. If I were going to be stuck underground for an extended period of time, I sure wouldn’t want it to be in one of those shipping containers I see on TV. No…I want all the modern conveniences, including food, entertainment, and of course very nice bathing facilities.

I like the underground idea, an abandoned mine, with proper supports of course, could provide endless room, no need to feel claustrophobic of course. Let the world go to hell in a hand basket, I’m in my geothermal hot spring, sipping a chilled chardonnay. Call me when everything settles down again. And of course I’d need to bring a few of my closest friends—I’m currently devising a short application to establish close friend status. Hoping I have a masseuse, personal chef, and concert pianist among them. Known chocoholics need not apply. It’s all mine! I don’t know when I will be able to get more.

My hero, Dr. Lukas Gerard, and I see eye to eye on the subject. What do you think? If you were setting up a prepper paradise…where would it be? What would you absolutely need to be happy? I’d need coffee and Diet Coke…

Leave a comment and tell us what it would take to create  post-apocalyptic paradise and one random commenter will win a copy of Virgin Under Ground. Thanks for visiting.

Cross Dressing our Series...er, I mean cross PROMO

by Kate Richards

Good morning campers!

Decadent Publishing hopes you are making as much of the summer as we are here at Camp IwannaNewBookAndTheTimeToEnjoyIt. The fresh air and pine trees are providing a lovely atmosphere for our writing and editing endeavors. We are swimming in the lake (Kindles in zip top bags, of course), riding the trails with our special laptop bracing saddles and generally enjoying our relaxing summer vacation. At the end of the season, we’re putting on a show! We were considering re-enacting one of the 1Night Stand stories but realized it would ruin camp’s PG13 rating. Looks like it will have to be a story from the Bono site! Those are enjoyable for the whole family.

Around the electric campfire the other night, we were making s’mores Margaritas in our solar charged blender, and the ideas were flowing like the delightful drinks. Sweet and tasty.

1Night Stand is open for submissions and we would particularly like to see some stories with a Latino flavor. The Castillo family is Cuban…Jagger and Jackson are as hot as anything and we’ve been hearing that readers would like to see more hot heroes like them. Do you like to write Puerto Rican, Mexican…Argentinian, or Spanish (and more!) characters? We’d love them to be part of our series. Interracial stories are always welcome, and popular!

M/M…bring em! Ménage, why not? We’re very excited about the upcoming stories and can’t wait to see more!

Everyone applauded, even those who hadn’t put their drinks down, so a bit of sweeping up and the whirring of the blender interrupted the proceedings, but with everyone’s glasses dusted with sugar, and fresh, fluffy marshmallows floating in the yummy chocolate beverages, topped with a smidgen of graham cracker crumbs, we got back to business.

A crossover, with a 1Night Stand date taking place in one of the other Decadent series would be a welcome addition to the lines! Freewill, Elatia…
I keep thinking of the Honor Guard line. A lonely American far from home, defending our embassy from any and all dangers? Wouldn’t he like a date? A nice girl to spend the evening with and ohhh, well…anything past that is up to them!

Take a look at the www.decadentpublishing.com website and see if any of these ideas inspires you.

I have to go now, I’m in charge of the refreshments for our next campout, and I’m thinking of the possibilities. In fact, leave a comment and suggest a brand new and exciting beverage I can concoct in my handy solar blender…and I’ll pick one commenter at random and award the winner’s choice of a 1Night Stand book!

Happy summer, campers! Be sure to watch out for sunburn and mosquitoes.

One Night Stand Hits the Road

by Kate Richards

This past weekend Valerie Mann and I took 1Night Stand to Cincinnati where we talked to readers and authors at the Lori Foster Reader Author Get Together about this and other Decadent Publishing series.
We had a few exciting moments.
Valerie ate her first Chicago Dog

Kate  met fans who have dozens of 1Night Stand books on their eReaders!

And together we continued our quest to attract the best authors to write for 1Night Stand.
We think you’ll be pleased with the stories in coming months. We already have so many wonderful authors lined up, and the ladies and, yes, a gentleman! who plan to submit in the near future are some of the best in the industry…but you’ll just have to wait and see!
But it’s goint to be exciting!

Thank you readers! You’re the reason we write, and the reason we are able to write. Leave a comment and tell us your favorite 1Night Stand story. We will pick two commenters at random to win a 1Night Stand Story of their choice!

Gale Force Passion - and the weekend that inspired it

by Kate Richards
Once upon a very romantic weekend many long years ago...I stayed at the most wonderful little hotel on Lower Abaco Island. Just ten rooms, back to back in five sort of 'huts' and no television, radio...or any other kind of electronic distraction. There was snorkeling in the ocean and the lagoon, a gorgeous salt water pool, wonderful food...and a double hammock hanging outside each room. We were horrified. Yes it was a romantic getaway, but no television, no phones? The only music on the property was a single Caribbean tape that played over and over in the restaurant until the staff must have been going insane.

Each room did have a tall bookshelf stuffed with books. For me that heavenly and I read several, cuddled in my guy's strong arms in the hammock's swinging embrace. Once we mastered getting two people into a hammock at the same time with nobody ending up dumped on the hard ground... Then one afternoon I was perusing the shelves for something interesting and found.... erotica!

From that moment on we discovered....reading aloud! We took turns reading these books to one another...and stopped going out to the hammock. We did emerge to eat because our lovely hotel did not have room service, and to play in the surf, but it was the most incredibly sexy thing. Just the two of us, in a thatch roofed hut. No interruptions, no news...no telephones! At first a little shy, then laughing, then, well you can imagine.

So writing a romantic story about the Bahamas was a no brainer. I can't imagine a sexier, more romantic place to go, and I do not completely attribute my enjoyment to the endless Bahama Breeze cocktails we enjoyed. For those of us who aren't able to run to the Bahamas this winter, here's a recipe!

Bahama Breeze
/2 oz apricot brandy
1/2 oz banana liqueur
1/4 oz grenadine syrup
1/4 oz honey
1/2 oz lemon juice
1 oz orange juice
1 oz pineapple juice
1 oz dark rum
1/2 oz coconut rum

Combine all ingredients in a blender with a few ice cubes. Pour into a tall glass. Garnish with an orange wedge and a cherry.

Gale Force Passion Blurb: What to do when your fiancé dumps you for a bimbo, right before a vacation of a lifetime to a luxurious Bahamas couples resort? If you’re lucky, like Terese, the reservations clerk can refer you to another resort, even nicer, and suggests you contact the fabulous Madame Eve at 1Night Stand—for a replacement date!

David is Terese’s date. Very tall, ebony dark and handsome, he’s also starting to yearn for more connection than career has allowed. After years of working at various resorts, he can settle in and enjoy his position as Castillo Resorts’ newest manager right in his native Bahamas.

Add in a hurricane with a sudden change in course, and David and Terese may have a more exciting date than either of them planned. In more ways than one.

Excerpt: A dream…not a dream. The armful of woman with her thigh slung over his legs, fisting his rock hard dick was Terese, his one-night stand date. And apparently she’d decided not to wait until their actual date the next night. His head cleared and he was delighted, if surprised. She hadn’t seemed like a woman who would be so aggressive, or who would be ready to have sex without at least a little “getting to know you” time. He must have been mistaken.

Who am I not to accommodate the lady? It would be ungentlemanly.

He used the arm pinned under her shoulders to pull her closer, stroking her back through her soft T-shirt and pressing kisses over her face before returning to her welcoming lips. He urged them apart and thrust his tongue into her mouth, desire warring with the warning in his head. Wait, David, there’s something not right here.
What could be wrong? Terese wanted to make love to him. An attractive, sexy female, and he already more than liked her. Why not go along with the lady’s wishes right now, unless it made tonight count as their date. Nah, just a little fooling around. Tomorrow I’ll wine and dine her and show her a good time on the island. But for tonight, if she wants….

Madame Eve has a Free Gift for you!

Madame Eve’s Gift is FREE with any purchase of a 1Night Stand story.
Happy holidays from Kate Richards and Decadent Publishing!

Christmas Eve is finally here and Nicholas Castillo’s staff has trimmed the trees and decked the halls for the Gala. All is in readiness and even Kathryn, the pilot who is responsible for ferrying in Madame’s Eve’s 1Night Stand guests to the remote hotel in Castle Alaska has hung up her wings for the holiday. Even better, she’s Nicholas’s date for the evening.

Because she lost a bet. But he’ll take a date with her any way he can get it because Nick has hopes that the Christmas spirit will help him to win over the woman he’s longed and lusted for since the first time her plane touched down outside his hotel. If only she didn’t think of him as a friend.

Kathryn wonders when Nick will take a hint. She’s even willing to put aside her comfy flying duds to don an elegant dress and stilettoes for one night if it will make him notice that she’s a woman and hopefully attractive. But in the years they’ve known one another, she’s never had the nerve to tell him she’s interested, and why would a rich, handsome hotelier, a member of the Castillo family, be interested in a woman who rarely hangs around for more than a day or two before flying off to the wilds of Alaska’s interior. It will take a heaping dose of Christmas magic—or maybe Madame Eve’s own brand—to make this one work out!

Night Stand has reached the big FIVE-OH!

We wanted to take a moment, we being Valerie Mann and Kate Richards, to thank everyone who has made 1Night Stand such a success, so far! The authors, the staff and publishers at Decadent Publishing, and mostly the readers.

When we, and Olivia Starke wrote the first three, we loved Madame Eve right away, but we really didn't konw how magical she is!

She has dealt with distraught lovers, widows, subs in search of a Dom, Doms in search of a sub, aliens from outer space, time travel, vampires, witches and ghosts, Sexy hoteliers and their relatives and even a virgin or two. So if you like 1Night Stand, leave a comment and maybe you'll win a book, we're giving away several today to celebrate our 50th story. But there are lots more to come!

Wait until you see how Madame helps her clients celebrate the holidays!

Trail of Hearts

What do you get if you take a sophisticated city woman and a girl who likes to ride the open range? A romance that can only take place in the lovely Sierra Mountains north of Reno, Nevada. There aren’t many places I love more, than the High Sierras and my husband and I love to travel over Highway 395 at any season to get there, but the fall is particularly lovely.
These women, from completely different backgrounds, touched my heart. Both strong, both willing to do whatever it takes to be independent, they’ve had to do it alone so far. I think sometimes we all feel that way, right? We’ve had to work hard and the backup isn’t there? I looked around recently and realized that my husband, though he has his cranky, grouchy…did I say cranky?…moments, absolutely has my back when it counts. He’s been there for me through some great and awful times and I never have to take a fall all alone. If he isn’t right there to catch me, he’s sure there right after to pick me up and dust me off…and give me a hug.
Charlotte and Birdie from Trail of Hearts have never had that. They’ve had to work darn hard to survive and even thrive and I got the feeling they never even thought it could be different. Sometimes being a strong woman is a lonely job.
So…a dude ranch, even one run by the Castillo family, may not be what Miss Charlotte expects, but for her, and for Birdie, displaced cattle rancher…it may be more than they ever dreamed of.
I hope you’ll enjoy Trail of Hearts. We’re giving a copy away to a commenter on this blog, so say hello and maybe you’ll win!
You can find Trail of Hearts here .

The Birth of 1 Night Stand

Last summer, while hanging out with a couple of my favorite online authors, we had a wonderful idea, to write a few stories about a unique dating service. We thought that a situation where, for reasons of their own, ordinary people wanted to have one great night, no strings attached. We had a few thoughts about why that might be and so Valerie Mann, Olivia Starke and I agreed to each write a story about what we thought might happen under those circumstances.
The Mysterious Madame Evangeline, owner of 1NightStand, is without peer in her gift at matching lovers for a 1NightStand, and always gives her clients more of an experience than they would have dreamed possible. Most of the dates happen at one of the fabulous Castillo Hotels and Resorts scattered around the world, with several at luxurious Castillo Las Vegas, Jackson Castillo’s flagship hotel, right on the Vegas Strip.
When we presented our idea to Decadent Publishing, we were given the green light to invite other authors to contribute to the series. To date there are more than a dozen stories accepted and a second series focusing on GLBT on the way.

Virgin and the Playboy was my first contribution to the series, although I have another in the works. Check it out and see what happens when a girl who was too consumed with her education and getting started in business to pay attention to her love life meets a guy who dates a different girl every week. And who has no idea he’s got a virgin for a 1 Night Stand.

Kate’s The Virgin and the Playboy as well as the other stories currently released are available at www.decadentpublishing.com or at your favorite online bookstore
